Part of the privately owned Kent-based JCB Group, JCB Skoda opened for business in February 2006.

The JCB Group Vision Statement :

This was created back in 1998 by our Managing Director Jonathan Bischoff - but what does it mean today?  Well here at the JCB Group we endeavour to give each and every one of our customers, not only an individual and personalised service, but also an experience that will make you want to come back to us. After all we do understand that buying a vehicle or bringing one in for service or repair, might be a daunting experience, so our staff are trained and empowered to help you and make the process or your transaction smooth and stress free.

As for fiscal objectives, in the current economic climate we believe we have a responsibility to you as our customers, to be certain that you receive value for money, and a wide range of funding options for your purchases, from Hire Purchase and Personal Contract Plans for vehicles purchases, to regular promotions and discounts on servicing, including our own Service Plan for new and used vehicles which allows you to spread the cost of your service bills over 36 months with no extra hidden charges and a few special discounts and freebies. We also believe we have a responsibility to our staff - with over 150 people employed directly across the JCB Group - we work continually to coach, train and develop our staff. We pride ourselves on our family based values, after all we are, essentially a family business who can boast an excellent staff retention record as well as proven success with promoting from within; more than 75% of our Management Team have worked their way "up through the ranks", and can proudly boast a combined industry experience of over 300 years .

So as we move through 2008 and into 2009, which will see us open a new, purpose built, Commercial Vehicle Lifestyle Centre in Ashford, and expand our staff family to nearly 200, we can be guided by our business values, which include "Customer Centric, Family Business and Promote from Within" and can take pride in our successes; in you our customers, and in the individual teams that make up the JCB Group.

Securing second place in the survey which asked 23,000 customers to rank their ownership experience in four different areas - quality and reliability; vehicle appeal; ownership costs; and service satisfaction; Skoda were in the top ten in every category, and first among all makes in ownership costs.
